Main Hall
The main hall is large enough to accommodate 125 people seated or 150 if standing. The polished wood floor is good for dancing and there is a large stage with stage lighting at one end. At the other end, the hall is adjoined to a small kitchen, with cutlery/crockery etc for up to 100 people. This kitchen has a cooker, microwave, fridge and pots/pans/trays etc. We have a music licence, but not a permanent alcohol licence.
There are plenty of large and small tables, together with chairs.
A projector and screen is available for the main hall free of charge although we do not provide and operator. Please enquire if you wish to use either.
Wi-Fi is free of charge.
Catering Facilities
Whilst the Village Hall does not directly undertake catering, we
have a list of local companies who will provide food and deliver it
to the Hall kitchen. You would need to contact the company directly.
The kitchen itself is not equipped for food preparation, but for
keeping things hot, if necessary. Cutlery and crockery for up to one
hundred people is available.
For an additional charge, we can provide the following services:
- Setting up tables and chairs;
- Tidying up after your event and stacking tables and chairs;
- Clearing crockery and cutlery, washing up and putting away;
As this is a bespoke service specific to the requirements of each
hirer, costings are provided upon request and are dependent on the
needs of the hirer.
Giles Room
The Giles Room is self-contained and accessed from an entrance at the far end of the building. It can comfortably accommodate up to 25 people for meetings, workshops, small parties etc. Tables and chairs are available and there is a pull down projector screen. A small mini catering area has a sink, hot and cold water and limited cutlery and crockery.
Both the Hall and the Giles Room have instant heating at the push of a button. There is free Wi-Fi in the building.
A projector and fixed screen available for the Giles Room free of charge.
Changing Rooms
There are two changing rooms with showers available, when hiring the Village Hall, one or both of the football pitches. Use of these facilities will need coordination with regular football teams who already use them and the football pitches.
Surroundings
Apart from the football pitches, which in the summer time are green open spaces, there is a play area for youngsters (for supervised under 12 year olds) right next to the hall, senior play equipment further down the field, and of course a newly refurbished BMX track which can also be used by skate boarders. All these (, provided by the Parish Council,) are freely available to anyone who uses the building.
Use of the playing field in connection with hiring the Hall may require a prior risk assessment undertaken by the Parish Council.
